Our Urgent Duty – Meeting 4

We are delighted to announce the fourth meeting in our series “Our Urgent Duty”. This will take place on Sunday 17th September 2017, from 8.00 to 9.30 p.m.

Full details are on the handbill.

Our speaker will be Rabbi Benjy Rickman, Head of Religious Studies at King David High School, Manchester, in conversation with Sister Teresa Brittain of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion and Canon Steve Williams, Co-chair, Manchester branch, Council of Christians and Jews.

The topic is Repentance: Is It Really All About Guilt?

With every New Year comes the chance to take stock and decide what priorities to make.  With Rosh Hashanah and the most solemn day of the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur, fast approaching, what are the roots of the "repentance" which are such important features of the season? How well have they been understood by other religious traditions, such as Christianity?

If you would like to attend please email ccjsecretary@yahoo.co.uk or saintgabriel@talktalk.net or you can leave a voicemail message on 07791 733 980.

Once you have registered, we will give you details of the venue.
